Overpaid Crypto Payment

What happens if you send more crypto than the amount due.

Overpaid Crypto Payment

An overpayment means you sent more than the amount due.

What happens

Your plan is activated, because the amount due has been paid in full.

We are not obliged to return the extra, because crypto payments are final. In practice, we may, at our discretion, do one of two things:

  • credit the extra toward your future fees, or
  • return it to you, less network and processing costs

If you have overpaid and want to ask what can be done, contact support with your account email and the transaction hash. See Contact billing support.

How to avoid it

  • Send the exact amount shown on your payment page.
  • If your wallet shows the amount in a different currency, check the conversion before you send.
  • Do not round up.
